The Adventures of Madeleine

Well, little miss finally got a good snow to go out and play in. It was actually quite hysterical. She'd stomp around for a while, and every now and then just fall into the snow like it was too much work.

Here are just a few photos from Christmas afternoon with Grandpa Jack, Grandma Jean, and Uncle Joel. The game that you see most of us playing with Madeleine was something that Jack made for her.

We had a good time with our little monkey on Christmas morning. She wasn't quite sure what she thought of opening presents, but once they were open she went to town! We had a great time.

There will be more photos coming, but here are a few photos from Christmas Eve. We went to visit Uncle Joel at his house and then went to the Christmas Eve service at the church. Madeleine got all spiffed up in her Christmas dress and new stockings....stockings that she proceeded to snag on Uncle Joel's staircase within 30 minutes of me putting them on her

I imagine that she's thinking, "ok people, enough with the photos....finish already!"

Madeleine and Daddy decided that they must play in the snow today, and they had quite a fun time. This was Madeleine's first real experience with snow.

Ohh, this white stuff moves when I push at it....but it's cold to sit on, what's up with that?

Sadly both of their children have been diagnosed with the same terminal genetic disorder. Their wish is to have a home that is handicapped accessible for their children as they care for them in the advanced stages of this illness.

Here are a couple more photos of the railing project. This was after the majority of the construction was already done and it was once again a "baby friendly" zone. Madeleine was all over whatever Daddy or Grandpa were doing.
